SEOUL – May 29, 2026 – The Cambodian Embassy in the Republic of Korea has encouraged young Cambodian singer Sovath Moninak (N'John), son of legendary Cambodian singer Preap Sovath, to perform more collaborative music between Cambodia and Korea, following his successful joint performance with K-pop artists in Seoul.
On May 28, Cambodian Ambassador to Korea H.E. Khuon Phan Ratana received a courtesy visit from N'John, a talented Cambodian singer signed to the US-based production company Circa 13 Music, known for his dancing skills and guitar playing.
Pete Dinero, manager of Circa 13 Music, informed the Ambassador that this was the first time his team had performed at a concert in Seoul. He added that the company plans to continue strengthening cooperation with Korean entertainment companies to provide more performance opportunities for N'John in Korea and across Southeast Asia.
Ambassador Khuon Phan Ratana expressed pride in seeing a Cambodian singer perform on an international stage. He expressed hope that N'John would collaborate with the embassy in major events so that Cambodians could have more opportunities to see his performances.
The Ambassador also noted that next year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Korea. He expressed his desire to see joint Cambodian-Korean music performances that showcase Khmer culture and civilization.
