PHNOM PENH – May 29, 2026 – The Ministry of Women's Affairs continues to prioritize the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women across all sectors, with Minister H.E. Kittipritth Bandit Ing Kantha Phavi reaffirming that the Royal Government of Cambodia regards women as the backbone of the national economy and society.
Speaking during a study visit and dialogue with 100 students from Vanda University on May 28 at the ministry, under the theme "Changing Social Attitudes for Gender Equality and Khmer Women's Values," the Minister emphasized that the government has set the promotion of gender equality and women's empowerment as a priority through strengthening citizenship in a highly civilized society based on ethics, equity, and inclusiveness.

The Minister encouraged students to become human capital with knowledge, skills, dignity, ethics, and morality, enabling them to become future leaders serving the nation.
The study visit aimed to enhance students' understanding of gender mainstreaming in Cambodia through the government's policy and legal frameworks, as well as the mission of the National Committee for the Promotion of Social Morality, Khmer Women's Values, and Cambodian Families.
