Cambodia Revokes Casino License, Arrests 7 in Poipet Online Scam Raid
The Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC) has revoked the license of KMH Paradise Tower Casino in Poipet
PHNOM PENH – May 22, 2026 – The Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia (CGMC) has revoked the license of KMH Paradise Tower Casino in Poipet following a joint operation that uncovered online scams, torture, and illegal weapons possession.
On May 7, 2026, the CGMC, in cooperation with the National Police and the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Unity Command, raided the KMH Paradise Tower Casino and Hotel located in O'Chrov commune, Poipet city. The operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects, including one woman.
Authorities seized a large quantity of electronic equipment, including 176 mobile phones, 92 all-in-one desktop computers, 45 monitors, 45 CPUs, 39 laptops, and other devices. All equipment has been retained for further investigation, while the suspects have been interrogated and sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court for legal proceedings.
The investigation by the Anti-Technology Crime Department and the Anti-Commercial Gambling Crime Department confirmed that My Chan International Co., Ltd, operating the casino, had engaged in online scam activities in violation of CGMC guidelines.
As a result, the CGMC has revoked Casino License No. 074, issued to My Chan International Co., Ltd on December 31, 2022.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has identified the fight against online scams as a high priority, directly related to social security, public safety, and national honor on the international stage. The CGMC reaffirmed its commitment to continuing strict enforcement operations in coordination with relevant authorities without exception for any casino suspected of illegal activities, particularly online scams.
