Cambodia and Singapore Reaffirm Strong Ties as New Ambassador Presents Credentials

PHNOM PENH – May 15, 2026 – His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Pang Chee Wee, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry this morning.
The Deputy Prime Minister extended his warm welcome and congratulations to Ambassador Pang Chee Wee on his appointment, reaffirming full support and cooperation to facilitate the successful fulfillment of the Ambassador's diplomatic mission.
In response, Ambassador Pang reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening and expanding the excellent relations between the two countries across all areas of cooperation. He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry for its continued support and cooperation extended to the Singaporean Embassy in Cambodia.
Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn also provided the Ambassador with an update on the current situation regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border issue.
